About Your Plastic Surgeon:

Although any licensed doctor may call himself a plastic or cosmetic surgeon, this is not equivalent to being board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. This board is the only one recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties as being able to bestow true certification in Plastic Surgery. If you do not see "American Board of Plastic Surgery" on your doctor's business cards or stationery, make certain that your doctor has that certification.
The satisfaction that you receive from your surgery will only be as great as the competence of your surgeon. Assure yourself of that competence and also be certain to get answers to all of your questions about a procedure.
