Many patients are not aware that Dr. Russell Sassani is not only a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon but also is a provider for several insurance plans including Medicare and commercial insurance such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna, and Coventry. Being a provider of such plans allows Dr. Sassani to perform reconstructive surgeries such as post mastectomy reconstruction, correction of deviated septum, and even breast reductions to name a few.
So how do you know if your procedure is covered or not? You must first start by contacting the office. We will ask you a few questions about the nature of your case and also get your insurance information to determine if the procedure would be covered under your particular plan. We would then schedule you for a consultation to meet with Dr. Sassani and to discuss your case in detail and to get the necessary documentation to submit an authorization request. This may include photos, detailed history and physical, and may require additional paperwork from your primary care physician.
Some of the more common procedures include:
Breast reductions to relieve back, neck and shoulder pain
Breast reconstruction post Mastectomy (All breast cancer survivors)
Nipple reconstruction post Mastectomy (All breast cancer survivors)
Upper eyelid surgery to correct visual obstruction
Severe breast asymmetry
Hyperhydrosis of the hands

Tip of the Month
When it comes to pigmented scars or even hyper--
pigmentation of the skin I recommed a great product called Obagi Clear! It improves uneven skin color and spots due to age. It is a lightening product with 4% hydroquinone. This helps to even out your skin tone to give a younger more youthful look.
Also, this is a great product to use before and after any of our laser procedures to maximize results.
