Causes of Hair Loss

There are many causes of hair loss, whether it’s too much testosterone, too much stress, or the lack of a healthy scalp. One of the most important things for hair growth is to avoid stress, and hydrate. When the body is stressed, it makes it complicated for the body to act appropriately. Stress restricts blood flow and seeing as how there’s a major vein that runs beneath the scalp, low blood flow means a lack of healthy hair. Fortunately, that doesn’t mean growing hair is out of the question indefinitely. Hydrating the scalp using natural, wholesome ingredients can also help the hair follicles to stay stronger. Nutrition plays a large part in a full head of hair as well, which is why sugary snacks, lots of caffeine, and a poor diet should be regulated if luscious locks are what you’re going for.

At Take Shape Plastic Surgery, we provide hair transplants for those looking to get their self-esteem back. There are two common hair transplant procedures, including FUE or Follicular Unit Extraction, and Strop Excision Harvesting. Now, you're probably wondering what the difference is between the two. They both have their advantages, but likewise, they both have their drawbacks.
FUE offers a more individualized approach, where the individual follicles are harvested and transplanted into the areas that are having trouble growing hair. The most significant benefit of FUE is that it leaves minimal scarring, and it's barely noticeable as your hair begins to grow back. FUE also offers quicker healing, which means that there's less time to spend on getting better, as well as less pain. The biggest downside to FUE is that it can take multiple sessions to receive the desired results. Because experts go area by area, the wait time can be detouring for some people.
Before & After

Safe & Secure

At Take Shape Plastic Surgery, we do offer FUE, but we do not provide Strip Excision Harvesting. The reason being is that the scarring is much worse with this method, and it also brings a significant amount of pain and discomfort during and after the process. At Take Shape Plastic Surgery, it's our number one goal to ensure that our patients are safe and secure. Adding additional pain isn't on our list of things to do. We want our patients to leave feeling healthier, happier, and more fulfilled. If you're looking for someone to help you with your hair transplant, Take Shape is a team you can trust.
