How to choose the best type of liposuction in Fort Lauderdale?

At Take Shape Plastic Surgery, our professional plastic surgeons offer a variety of different liposuction options and will help you find the one that will be most effective to achieve your body goals. Our state-of-the-art facility and equipment ensure that you’ll get the best liposuction results, with the least amount of recovery time! Unlike other complex surgeries, Liposuction is a relatively quick procedure, with most liposuction operations only lasting 1-4 hours!

At Take Shape Plastic Surgery we use three of the latest and safest techniques:

1. Ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty (UAL)
Otherwise known as Ultrasonic Liposuction, this technique utilizes ultrasound vibrations to break up the walls of fat cells, making it easier to suction out. This method is usually used for more fibrous areas such as the chest, back, and other areas that have had liposuction previously.

2. The Tumescent Technique
One of the most common forms of liposuction, the Tumescent Technique involves pumping large volumes of local anesthetic and epinephrine below the skin, the fat is then suctioned through small suction tubes called microcannulas. Since the local anesthesia is already injected into the skin, this eliminates the need to go under general anesthesia and thus reduces risks and complications otherwise associated with general anesthesia.

3. The Super-Wet Technique
Consists of injecting a safe fluid into the area where fat is expected to be removed. The amount of fluid injected before the liposuction will usually equate to the amount of fat that is removed. This technique eliminates fat more easily and also can help reduces the signs of bruising after the surgery.
